Apex Die: Taylor Made Dies

Respected Die Maker Brings More than 25 Years of Industry Service to Apex Die Customers; Taylor Made Dies Brand to Remain

May 31, 2011 - San Carlos, CA – Apex Die Corporation, one of Northern California's leading print finishing providers serving commercial and packaging printers, announces its successful acquisition of Taylor Made Dies, a manufacturer of high-quality steel rule dies. Founded by Don Taylor in 1985, Taylor Made Dies proudly serves the die making needs of the Northern California graphic arts community.

Continuity for the customers of Taylor Made Dies was a key outcome of the acquisition, which was completed earlier this month. Apex Die has committed to maintaining the well-known Taylor Made Dies brand, and company founder Don Taylor will remain its president.

"Day-to-day operations will be seamless for customers of Taylor Made Dies," said Kevin Cullen, president of Apex Die Corp. "The only change will be increased production capacity and expanded die cutting and related finishing capabilities."

"I'm very happy to join forces with Apex Die," said Don Taylor. "Blending our die making expertise and capabilities with Apex Die's already-substantial die making and die cutting department will provide an unbeatable level of service to customers of both companies."

Kevin Cullen, President of Apex Die Corp., said his company is committed to maintaining the well-known Taylor Made Dies brand.

"For more than 25 years, Taylor Made Dies has earned a reputation for blending rapid turnarounds with outstanding craftsmanship," said Cullen, adding that a new website and supporting collateral materials are currently in development.
